  3. Why Now? Current structure dates to 1956 Community college system USF and FIU Foundation for UNF, UWF, FAU, and UCF Board of Governors, State University System of Florida

  4. Will 1956 structure meet 2026 needs? Access: 50,000+ new students in next six years alone—more certain to follow Capacity: 5 universities have more than 35,000 students Quality: students graduate into a global labor market Board of Governors, State University System of Florida
