Typography My typography research was interesting, rather than just researching typography, I decided to refine the research and look into musical typography. I don’t think from the research it will influence strongly on my choice of type at the end of the day hecause most of the time most of the articles I found discussed the music industry, which isn’t what im going into. I basically googled musical typography and found that rather than using slick smooth type, most of them found a way of integrating type and musical notation to form a typeface. Which looked good but wasn’t what I wanted.
Final Design • Colour • RGB (0,0,0) Black - for the treble-clef. After playing with the colours of it, in my opinion, it didn’t look right, I couldn’t find a colour that suited the treble-clef. Also kept “web design” black so that it looked more a part of the graphic and so it flowed from one side to the other. • RGB (54,169,255) Sky blue - This colour is seen in the mouse and my name, I chose the colour because it is a calm colour but, in my view quite eye catching which leads you to spot to mouse first then look at the rest of the image.
Final Design Type • French Script MT – “web design” is displayed in this text because it sits nicely with the rest of the image and I think it flows nicely in he same way that the treble-clef does. • Plantagenet Cherokee – This is the text used for my name, I wanted something that would give a professional look but not to look to out of place with the rest of the design and I think this text does that.
