Humans and the Physical Environment • Cameroon suffers from deforestation, like most of South America. • It’s near the equator, about 6 degrees north, so it’s 250 miles of coastline is tropical.
Food • Staple foods eaten in the north are corn, millet, and peanuts. • In the south people eat more root vegetables, such as yams and cassava, as well as plantains (similar to bananas). • In both the north and south regions, the starchy foods are cooked, then pounded with a pestle until they form a sticky mass called fufu, which is then formed into balls and dipped in tasty sauces. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_do_people_in_Cameroon_eat
