  2. Day Reporting School & Community Service Projects • During the 15 years the Spokane SAC Day Reporting School has been in existence the students have been involved in community service projects. A block long mural representing Spokane, Christmas stockings to a Children's Hospital and to a mother/child shelter, art in the courtroom, and video public service announcements are just a few of these projects.. The purpose of this presentation is to share some of the projects our students have done for the community and to invite others to share what they have done. • Participants will learn: • 1. Community Service Ideas for Day Reporting Schools • 2. Resources for Community Service Projects • 3. Student Personal Social Responsibility • Purposes: • Contributes to School and Community Safety. • Builds a Sense of Involvement, : “I can make a difference.” • Connects Learning to Action. • Educates the Community. • Exposure to community resources and community needs.
