Short history Rzeszów is a small city which is in south eastern part of Poland. It was founded in 1354 by king Casimir IV of Poland.Rzeszów was given a city rights in 1354. It has beenthe capital of Podkarpacie region since 1944.In 1658 Jerzy Lubomirski established the Piarist school, the second secondary school in Poland. Nowadays Rzeszów is growing in population, new villages which are situated on outskirts, join the city and a lot of work is done to modernise it. Rzeszów after II World War
Location of Rzeszów Rzeszów is located in the center of Podkarpacie region, on both sides of the Wisłok river.It is surrounded by many hills from every side. Wisłok River

Culture and entertainment Main square in Rzeszów Rzeszów is a very old and beautiful city. The oldest and most attractive part of Rzeszów is the marketplace with Town Hall and tenant houses established in 1591. Main tourist attractions are : Palace of Lubomirski family from XVIII century main square with restaurants and clubs synagogues which belonged to population of Jews Farny church – the oldest church in Rzeszów.
