Message Center The message center can be used to send messages to whole class(es) or selected students in a particular class.
Emailing Progress Reports You can choose an existing template or create one There are also a lot of report formats to choose from too.
You can choose the parents to send an email to, you can print a hard copy of the report(s) and you can also send a copy of the email to yourself for documentation. Emailing Progress Reports
Drop Lowest Score The drop lowest score option will drop the assignment that most negatively affects the student’s overall grade in a designated grading period.
Drop Lowest Score You choose a grading period to drop the score from. You can choose students to exclude from the process.
Drop Lowest Score You can choose assignments and/or categories to exclude from the process. You will be given a list to review before processing the drops. Dropped grades are shown as *AD in the gradebook.
Advanced Drop Lowest Score The advanced drop lowest score option allows you to drop multiple assignments within the same grading period. You can still select students, assignments and/or categories to exclude from the drop.
Student Groups Allows teachers to divide students in their class into a maximum of 10 groups based on separate learning and or grading situations.
The gradebook screen will display students based on their group. Can switch which group is being viewed by using the drop down menu. Assignments will only show for the group(s) it was created for. You can create an assignment for all groups at once on the add assignment tab. Student Groups
All students must be in a group to use this option. Set up the groups so that the first group contains most of the students. • Students may not be switched to a group once an assignment has been entered for that group. Student Groups
Options on Reports Select Add a new Template or Clone Template to be able to change the options that show on a report. The options available are dependent on the type of report it is. * * * *Not available on all reports
Entering Grades: • Double click on an entered grade to go to score entry screen • Use Quick Scoring for entering multiple grades at once
Display Attendance on Score Entry Screen If you unsuppress this option you will see the student’s attendance for the due date of the assignment on the score entry screen. Unsuppress the option at PS\WS\EA\GB\CF\DS
Attaching an Assignment You can attach an assignment in the gradebook so that parents and students can access it in Family Access.
On family access, if the user clicks on the assignment title the assignment details will open and there will be an indicator that there is an attachment. If the user clicks on the attachment icon the assignment is opened/downloaded. Attaching an Assignment
Combining Gradebooks On your My Gradebook page select Combine Multiple Classes into a Gradebookbelow your list of classes To turn on combine GB option: WS\EA\GB\SE\PS\CF\GE
Select a Master class and then the other classes to combine into a grade book. Combining Gradebooks Must be done before any grades are entered and before the first grading period closes. Cannot be done on classes with an alternate teacher.
Combined Gradebooks Note that grade change requests must be done on the original gradebook.
