It is a standardized test • HPAC – recommendations • Research schools (MSAR) – International students • Be organized!
Applying to Med School • AMCAS – get it in early, personal statement • Secondary Applications • Interviews • About $3,500 • Financial Aid • Listen to advice BUT make your own decisions!
Interview Season • Is it just a numbers thing? NO!!! • Class work and schedule • Chance for you to see if the school fits • Can be tiring and not cheap!!! • Typical interview day • Don’t stress and BE YOURSELF!
Med School • Grad Student • Various curriculums and grading systems • Different learning formats • Being “inducted” into a society w/ a new language • Transformation • Schedule – daily & blocks • 4 years doing what?
Med School • A lot of hard work • Work ethic & professionalism • Emotional Roller Coaster • Support system • We still have fun!!! • Extracurricular activities
