  8. Use APSA style = Chicago / Turabianformat • Don’t include URLs for databases, search engines • NEVER quote or cite a dictionary or encyclopedias ¤ Citations

Plagiarism • Quote, paraphrase require citation • Not sure when to cite own words? • The United Stated declared war on Great Britain in 1812. • Factual- don’t need to cite • The War of 1812 solidified Canadian provincial allegiance to GB as the Canadians were terror-struck by an American government that would treat the indigenous people so abysmally. • Contestable, author’s argument, author’s opinion- need to cite ¤ When to Cite
