  2. opinion paragaph • Our Fanal Exam is opinion paragraph. • There are four keys to writing a successful opinion • paragraph. • 1. Sate your opinion clearly in the topic sentence. • 2. Explain each reason in logical order. • 3. Use facts to support each reason. • 4. End with a powerful concluding sentence • that your reader will remember.

  3. Opinions • Opinions are statements of someone's berief. • When you say, "I believe..." or "I think that..." • you are expressing your opinion. • People can disagree with opinions. Example) Using a cell phone while driving is dangerous. Gary is a good teacher.

  4. Facts • Facts are true statements that no one can • disagree with. • Example) • The sun rises in the east. • Gary said, "I am a good teacher." • Opinion • Fact • What Gary said -"I am a good teacher"- is an oponion, but the fact is that Gary said something.

Reliability of Source • Source is specific, clear, detailed, and concise. • My middle school teacher said, "Driving while talking • on the cell-phone leads to lots of traffic accidents." • My middle school teacher, who had a PHD in highway safety, • said, "Driving while talking on the cell-phone leads to • lots of traffic accidents." • According to the Koean National Highway Safety • Commission in a study conducted between 2012-2014, • "Driving while talking on a cell-phone leads to a 4.5% • increase of having a fatal traffic accident."
