Depending on your specific situation, several infertility factors can be easily treated using in-vitro fertilization (IVF). The expensive IVF treatment, along with its physical and emotional impact, may leave you wondering whether IVF is worth the try. Fortunately, IVF is generally successful, especially for women under the age of 35. Here are some facts that assess the success rates of IVF.

1. What is The Success Rate of IVF on the First Try? The expensive IVF treatment, along with its physical and emotional impact, may leave you wondering whether IVF is worth the try.

 2. As per the report on ART Success Rates released by the CDC in 2020, after analyzing 326,000 ART cycles, it was found that these cycles resulted in • 79,942 live-born infants • 75,023 live births (deliveries of one or more living infants) • Out of the 326,468 ART cycles completed, 123,304 were egg or embryo banking cycles meant to be frozen for subsequent ART cycles and were not anticipated to result in a pregnancy or delivery. Without these cycles, 203,164 would have been intended for pregnancy. • The Society for Assisted Reproductive Treatments (SART), the primary American professional organization dedicated to IVF, also released a second report about IVF success rates. SART is renowned for its thorough examination of distinct live birth categories; for instance, they segregate data by singleton births (the delivery of one child per IVF cycle) and non-singleton births (twins, triplets, or higher). 3. Under 35 years old: 41.6% • 35-37 years old: 29.6% • 38-40 years old: 18.7% • 41-42 years old: 9.2% • Older than 42 years old: 2.8% Here is the live birth rate per intended egg retrieval for singletons in 2020. Here is the percentage of all live births in 2020 that used the patient’s eggs, including those of non-singletons. • Under 35 years old: 44.6% • 35-37 years old: 31.5% • 38-40 years old: 19.9% • 41-42 years old: 9.7% • Older than 42 years old: 2.9% 2

 4. There are several lifestyle choices that can increase the chances of a successful IVF, including: • Optimizing sperm health: You must provide the body with the nourishment it needs. Eating multivitamins and supplements to maintain a healthy lifestyle and focusing on your body will always serve in more ways than we can ever imagine. • Quit smoking: It is a phrase one hears often but finds it difficult to implement. Smoking drastically deteriorates your sperm and egg quality. Try getting your family and friends involved to help you quit. • Take vitamin D: Experts reveal that 40% of individuals are vitamin D deficient. Understanding the needs of your body can only be made possible through regular checkups. Get routine checkups in case you’re planning on undergoing medical procedures. • Stressing about it won’t help: One of the hardest things for couples to accomplish is reducing stress issues during an IVF session. Several publications recommend acupuncture, mind-body programs, stress reduction, and resilience training courses to enhance pregnancy outcomes. How to increase your chances of a successful IVF? 2
