J2ME Introduction • Is a Java Platform for mobile devices and embedded systems such as mobile phones, PDAs, TV set-top boxes and printers. • Designed by Sun Microsystems which is now a subsidiary of Oracle Corporation. • Replaced a similar technology called PersonalJava. • Originally developed as JSR 68 under the Java Community Process.
