  4. Scope application-approval • Flexible • for individual S/N; or • for series of aircraft but limited to one type of aircraft

  5. Shared responsibility • Application Certification Manager • the administrative follow-up of Applications/Allocations; and • The administrative closure of the file • the financial closure of the file • Responsible Certification Manager (RCM) and/or EASA PCM • technical investigation • implementation of the certification procedures • Approval of Form 18B (only by authorised EASA staff)

  6. Technical Investigation • In principle: internally • In-house PCM or RCM • Exception: outsourcing • NAA State of Registry • EASA PCM, outside EASA • Contractual arrangements • Subject to internal working procedure

Start checklist 2. Verification of the supporting documents 3. Check compliance 4. Discuss open topics with applicant or request missing info 5.   12. Charging Scheme • Regulation (EC) No 488/2005 amended by Regulation (EC) No 779/2006 • Service: charges = real cost • Hours performed by technical experts of EASA and/or the Agency’s contractors (NAAs) are charged at an hourly rate • Administrative/management efforts: 1 w. hour

Charging Scheme • Following hourly rates apply: • For EASA staff, 197 € • For NAA staff, the rate at which EASA has to reimburse NAAs under the respective Framework Contracts • Travel costs are charged in full to the applicant • EU travel: • Transport costs • Per diem (hotel, daily allowance, incidental expenses)
