Traditional exams • Subjective • tester was influenced by the shape of the exam paper, the handwriting and the tidiness of the paper • time consuming • Doctors used to spend along time trying to decipher what their students wrote . • Students have to wait for weeks sometimes to know our results. • unreliable.

Online Exam • objective • the personal feelings and views do not interfere in assessing others, A point is either true or not. • No word is unintelligible • Reliable • Answers auto recovered if any failure happened during exam. • the result will be the same whenever the same students sit to do it while having the same amount of information. • there is no messing paper

  4. Online Exam cont. • Save Time • Instructor don’t have to spend long hours in checking. • Student can know there results very soon. • easily configured • no need for network configuration. • Access any where

Procedure: • The instructor has only to have a questions database of different types of like: • Multiple choice questions with two to five variables for each. • matching between columns which is the easiest to prepare • true or false items • filling the blanks • we have improvised a technique that meets the tastes of various points of views for multiple choice : • having equal assessment for each variable • Another test version gives different assessments for variables

Security procedures: • We have made sure lf guaranteeing secrecy and honesty of the exam, this is achieved through • when the examinee presses start he can’t access anything of windows unless his exam • his personal photo and student number are shown directly before me as an examiner • Each examinee has his own version of questions that are different from any others, because they are arranged randomly. • Each examinee should have his own user name and password. • If any student logout illegally he can’t resume the exam without instructor’s permission.

  7. Extra facilities: • gives the ability to have feed back and rest evaluation by large number of various reports
