  3. Dhanteras: Dhanterasis celebrated as the first day of Diwali and considered important day for business community. This day is also marks the birthday of Lakshmi – The Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity. • NarakaChaturdasi: NarakChaturdasi is the second day of Diwali, and is also called ChotiDiwali. • LakshmiPuja: The third day is the main festive day. Lakshmipuja is offered on this day. Lakshmi symbolizes wealth and prosperity, and her blessings are invoked for a good year ahead. People wear new clothes and distributes sweets and bust crackers. • Padwa, Balipratipada: The day after Diwali, is celebrated as Padwa. This day ritually celebrates the love and mutual devotion between the wife and husband. The husbands give thoughtful gifts, or elaborate ones to respective spouses. • BhaiDuj, BhaiyaDooj: The last day of festival is called Bhaidooj (Brother’s second).
