Enhancing Dialogue and Partnership Between Official South and Global Civil Society • Major changes underway in balance between developed and developing and in relative positions within the South • These changes hold enormous promise but also pose looming challenges • No unified view in official South of global civil society but some shared perceptions of positive role as well as of limitations • No structured mechanisms for interface between official South and global civil society • Need to consider how these mechanisms could be strengthened while respecting independence and diversity of international civil society
