  3. Reminder to all pupils Please remember energy drinks and fizzy juice are bannedwithin the school building.

  4. Paired Reading A reminder to all S1 and S6 pupils involved that there is no paired reading today. See you in the library on Wednesday 1 October at 8.30am – you will be registered there!

  5. Italy S3/4 All permission slips must be returned with deposits by Thursday 2nd October!

  6. NEW YORK 2015 Meeting on Tuesday 30th Sept in Room 306 at 1.30pm If you can not make the meeting , please see Miss Edmond.

  10. Comic Art Club If you enjoy comic books, cartoons or superhero movies, why not try coming up with your own? If you’re interested, come along to Mr Stanton’s Comic Art Club on Monday lunchtimes in room 012. Next meeting: Today! All ages and drawing abilities welcome!

  11. S4 – S6 Auditions Auditions for principal acting/singing roles: Girls: Wednesday 3.30 – 4.30 Boys: Thursday 3.30 – 4.30 Call backs will be on Friday from 12.30 Auditions for other roles and chorus members will be held at a later date. These will be open to S1 – S6 pupils.

  12. Brass Instruments Any first year pupil interested in playing a brass instrument should meet with Mr Dickson in the music department at morning break today

  13. Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships (March 2015) Any piper interested in competing in the above championships should see Ms Hume in the Music Department ASAP

  14. Tuesday 7th October 7pm Lasswade High School Tickets available from drama department from 29th September Adults: £4 Concession: £2.50 In aid of samh ( Scottish association for mental health) *contains scenes of a sensitive nature. May be unsuitable for those under 12* Trio

  21. S6 Leavers Production As a goodbye to the school, a 6th year production is being organised by 6th years for public viewing before the Easter break. The current plan is for it to be a spoof stage adaption of Star Wars, with as many comedic references as we can acceptably fit in! If you are interested in being a part of this production, please come to room 220 at lunch time today. We are going to need people to fill many roles, including acting and directing, set and prop design and backstage helpers. No previous experience in any of these fields is required and its all meant to be done for fun, so please come, enjoy yourself and end your last year with a flair!
