Why Perfume? • I chose to sell perfumes because I am a big fan on fragrances. Not only fragrances but body lotions, body washes, oils; anything that excites my senses. • Sell something that I am passionate about guarantees bigger rewards. • The name originates from my taste and the price.
Positioning Statement • Given at the most competitive, affordable prices, X’clusive provides fragrances that everyone knows and loves. With a touch of Tea of course, not only do we capture the senses but we capture the hearts.
Location • I chose Copley as my location because while doing research, I noticed that Copley was a place for a lot of first’s in Boston. • 1st Church Built By Free Blacks • America’s 1st Public School For Blacks • America’s 1st Subway (Tremont St. Subway) • And many others. • Good commute • Easy for people to get to • A NEED!!! • Only fragrance store around area.
Target Audience • Ages 16+ • My target audience would be primarily ages 16 and up, both male and female. • My location fits this age group as well.

Cover Letter • Temique Roach • 53 Business St. Apt 2 • Hyde Park, MA 02136 • Reference: Intro to Marketing Portfolio • Dear Professor Charles Fusi, • Not everyone may like perfumes or colognes because of the strong fumes. However, I am sure that everyone loves the thought of someone else thinking they smell good. That’s exactly one of the reasons why I chose to sell perfumes. Not only was it a fun journey in creating such a venture, but at X’Clusive, there is something for everyone. • In regards to inputting data for the sales of my fragrances, it took a lot more cognitive thinking then I thought. My ideal goal was to make profit. The dollar amount that changed every week, inevitably, will have affected my profits. Keeping track of the stock market each week really helped me to feel involved in the marketing realm.
