Welter, the University of Baltimore’s literary journal for over 40 years, is now accepting submissions for our 2010 edition. • Guidelines: • Fiction: 1000 words max. • Creative Nonfiction/Memoir: 1500 words max. • Poetry: submit up to three poems of any length. • Comics: In lieu of originals/print, please send digital images of your work in either .pdf or .jpg form. DO NOT submit your only copy of work. Submissions can be up to three 5”x8” pages in length or able to be reduced to this size later. Work must be publishable in black and white. We encourage both three page long submissions, and three one page submissions. • Please state the type of submission (fiction, poetry, memoir, essay) in the subject line of the email. • Work may be attached as a Word document. • In the body of your email, include contact information and a brief bio. • You may submit to multiple genres, without exceeding a total of 2000 words. • All work must be original and previously unpublished. • Submissions longer than one page should include title and page numbers in header. • Deadline: March 5, 2010 • Send submissions to: Welter2010@gmail.com
