  4. Hungarian DEMAND GI • Government (planning, monitoring, self governments) • Private sector (utilities, telecom companies, infrastructure) MARKET OFFER • NMA (Basic & derived data, only 2% of total turnover of the sector) • Private companies (some 60-70 mainly SME)

GI MARKET RESEARCH MARKETING • In every 2 years - limited mainly to the offer • No sufficient interactions with the users - the GI products do not always correspond to the needs o users • The Hungarian user is price sensitive • For sustaining the growth wide promotion activities are required in Hungary

  7. DATA WHAT IS SOLD? • Data? • Product? & The role of NMA PRODUCTS • Prepare and enable a general data policy • Elaborate a coherent pricing system • Define the legal framework for the use of data • (Control the use of the data)

  11. At last TRANSITION… IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE? CONCLUSION NO • In case of basic data YES • In case o derived data WHAT’S NEXT? • Persuade the competent organisations that the tasks in this field should be solved • Elaborate numeric examples of pricing, for demonstration of different methods
