SBI PO Selection Process The State Bank of India (SBI) is one of the top banking sectors. SBI conducts recruitment drive every year to fill in different vacancies across the organization. Go through the below detailed SBI PO Selection Process. The SBI PO Exam 2019 consists of three stages: Preliminary, Mains, Group Discussion and Interview. The selection process in each stage is as explained below. SBI PO Preliminary Exam Preliminary examination of SBI PO comprises of 3 sections- English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The questions will be asked as multiple choice where the candidate will have to mark 1 correct answer out of 4 given options. Candidate will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer but 0.25 marks will be deducted out of each wrong answer, however, no marks will be deducted for an unanswered question. Total No. of Questions: 100 questions Total Marks: 100 marks Total Time Duration: 1 hour or 60 minutes Practice SBI PO Mock test as per the latest exam pattern and syllabus. SBI PO Main Exam SBI PO Mains examination is divided into 2 sections- objective test and descriptive test. Both sections are conducted online. The objective test has a duration of 3 hours duration and the descriptive test has to be completed in 30 minutes. Objective test section includes topics such as Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness and English Language. 1. Total Marks: 200 marks Total Time Duration: 3 hours or 180 minutes 2. SBI PO Descriptive Test DescriptiveTest is an online test and consists of the questions based on the English Language (Letter Writing and Essay Writing). Total Marks: 50 marks Total Time Duration: 30 minutes SBI PO Group Discussion and Interview Candidates will be called for group discussion after they qualify through the cutoff set by the bank with regards to the SBI PO Mains examination 2019. After going through the group discussion session, candidates will be called for personal interview which will test the personality of the candidate along with the qualifications and other qualities. Total Marks for Group Discussion: 20 marks Total Marks for Personal Interview: 30 marks With the successful completion of all the three stages, candidates will be deployed as a Probationary Officer (PO) in various SBI Banks across India.
