This initiative aims to exchange national accounts data internationally using SDMX from 2014 onwards. Led by SDMX Sponsors including ECB, Eurostat, and OECD, the objective is to implement SDMX in national accounts following SNA 2008 and create Data Structure Definitions for global use. The timeline includes stakeholder needs inventory, DSD development, expert group consultations, pilot projects, and system adaptation. Regular data transmission started in Q3 2014. Suggestions for further issues, country involvement, and pilot project participation are welcome.
