Two Methods to Access Address: http://forums.sae.org Main page of SAE web site (www.sae.org), on purple stripe across the top, click Community, then Click Forums Click on Visit Our Public Forums to enter as an anonymous user Web Forum Address
User ID 10 digit SAE customer number (contact brothers@sae.org) Password - First initial and last name in all CAPS (minimum 5 characters; not to exceed 15 characters) If this does not add up to 5 characters then include periods after last letter to make a total of 5 characters Ability to Change ID & Password Instructions available on Registration Table Logging In
Public Forums For the general public Minutes are password protected Private Forums For members only Requires individual to log in with ID & Password Minutes are not password protected Ability to post draft documents here for member to review Public vs. Private Forums
Firewalls Ask Systems Administrator to have a port opened for your terminal Cookies If disabled, won’t be able to use forums Computer (Ex. iMac) Need to be able to read Word and Powerpoint Network Configuration May be set up in manner preventing access to forums; ask System Administrator Problems
