  2. Objetivos • Saber (to know): features found in cities. • Comprender (to understand): using the conditional as well as the present tense. • Poder (to be able to): express the features of your town/city now and what you would do to improve it.

  3. En mi ciudad...... Categorise the following phrases into the table. Work in pairs to work out what they mean and then decide if it is a positive or negative feature of a town. hay muchos habitantes. hay muchos turistas. no hay muchos espacios verdes. hay muchos árboles. hay mucho trafico. hay una zona peatonal. hay muchas tiendas. no hay red de transporte publico. hay mucha basura. no hay muchas áreas de ocio. hay muchos museos y muchas galerías de arte.

  4. Evaluación de pares • Discuss your answers with the pair next to you. • Have you all put the same things as being positive and negative. • Discuss your reasons for your answers.

  5. La condicional Infinitivo The infinitive is the form of the verb found in the dictionary , e.g.: hacer = to do ir = to go beber = to drink terminaciones I = …………………ía you = …………….ías he/she = ………ía we = ………………íamos you pl. = ………íais they = ………….ían

Lee en grupo • Work in the group you have been put into to focus on the text you have been given. • Read through the text then come together as a group to answer the questions. • You have got 6 mins. • NOW, go back to your seat and swap answers with your partner – make sure you explain where the answers came from in the text.

Speaking Peer Assessment • We will work in pairs to peer assess each other’s speaking skills. • You will listen carefully for what things your partner says and more importantly those ‘CLEVER’ structures that they use. • Mark down on the sheet given to you each time your partner uses one of the aspects mentioned on the sheet – this will help you give them a grade when they are finished.
