Control of Air-cell Mattress for Preventing Pressure Ulcer Based on Approximate Anthropometric Model Inhyuk Moon, Sung-Jae Kang, Gyu-Seok Kim, and Mu-Seong MunKorea Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Engineering Center (KOREC),Incheon, Korea • This paper proposes a novel air-cell mattress for preventing pressure ulcer induced by external pressure. • The mattress consists of eighteen air-cells and an air-pressure control system. • The control pressure is calculated using an approximate anthropometric model based on the weight and the height of body. • Experimental results show the air-mattress is effective for the prevention of the pressure ulcer. the parts of body to be often developed pressure ulcer distributed external pressure Schedule Code (WePo01.29)
