World Premier International Research Center • A new fund starting (second half of) JFY2007 to create top-level 5 research centers with a size of 200 researcher/post docs/engineers/staffs. • At least 30% of researchers are expected to come from abroad. • Official language is English. • 0.5-2 B¥/year x 10 years (mainly personnel), can be extended up to 15 years. • More than 50 proposals seems to be submitted. • KEK is now preparing a proposal to be submitted at the end of May. • Tentative title of the proposal is “International Center for Frontier and Innovation of Accelerator Science and Technology”. • Main objective is to develop advanced accelerator technologies;SC RF acceleration and low emittance beam source/control. • We plan to implement ILC activities into this program as much as possible. • Strong suppor and participation from ILC community is highly welcome.
