  2. Fireworks’ “Special Features” • Fireworks: More than just simple graphics • Slices • Hotspots • HTML and Javascript • Dreamweaver integration • Animations

  3. Slices • By slicing an image, different properties can be assigned to different portions of the image • This can even include javascript functions, such as rollovers • Fireworks has features that write these scripts for you, which can then be exported (along with the sliced image files) into Dreamweaver

  4. Animations • Fireworks allows for the easy creation of animated images • Animations will not run as .jpgs and should be exported as .gif files
