About Østfold University College • We are a medium-sized university collegewith 5500 students and 500 staff members. • We are located in Northern Europe, in two neighbouring towns Halden and Fredrikstad, south-east of Norway.
Study programmes • Østfold University College offers a number of bachelor programmes and a few master programmes, several of which include a period of study abroad. • Most of our study programmes are taught in Norwegian, however we also offer a number of courses taught in English, German, French and Spanish.

International Relations • Østfold University College participates in a number of international co-operation programmes within LLP/Erasmus and Nordplus • We have bilateral agreements with European, American, Canadian, South African, Australian and Vietnamese universities • Norway has adopted the ECTS credit system and our studies are internationally compatible
Academic year • Full academic year: mid August to mid June • Autumn semester: mid August to mid December • Spring semester: mid January to mid June
