This project in Hawaii involves preparing and placing 80 carboys of ultra-clean water along altitude transects for environmental testing. The water, provided by the NSF/SRC Center for Environmentally Benign Semiconductor Manufacturing, is treated for purity with UV treatment and low trace metals. The targets are placed at different locations in Hawaii for various testing durations. A clean room at the University of Arizona is used for water preparation.
