  1. FINANCIAL FREEDOM INSTITUTE @ EASTERN STAR CHURCHOVERVIEW

  2. PURPOSE The primary objective of Financial Freedom Institute (FFI) at Eastern Star Church is to provide a practical Biblical approach to managing the financial resources God has entrusted to us.

  3. GUIDING PRINCIPLES 1. GOD OWNS IT ALL2. GOD IS THE SOURCE OF OUR BLESSINGS3. GOD EXPECTS US TO BE GOOD STEWARDS (MANAGERS) OF HIS RESOURCES4. GOD HONORS OUR OBEDIENCE5. GOD EXPECTS US TO GIVE CHEERFULLY

  4. GOD OWNS IT ALL Genesis 1:1 (NIV)In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.Psalms 24:1 (NIV)The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,the world, and all who live in it

  5. GOD IS THE SOURCE OF OUR BLESSINGS 1Chronicles 29:12 (NIV) Wealth and honor come from you;  you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to allPhilippians 4:19 (NKJV) And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

  6. GOD EXPECTS US TO BE GOOD STEWARDS (MANAGERS) OF HIS RESOURCES Proverbs 6:6-8 (NIV) Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. Luke 14:28-30 (NLT)“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you. They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’ .

  7. GOD HONORS OUR OBEDIENCE Proverbs 3:9-10 (NKJV)Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. John 15:7 (NKJV)If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

  8. GOD EXPECTS US TO GIVE CHEERFULLY Malachi 3:10 (NIV)Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV)Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

  9. WHAT IS FINANCIAL BONDAGE? DEBT: An amount owed to a person or organization for funds borrowed.SIGNS OF FINANCIAL BONDAGE:-Excessive Debt-Preoccupation with Obtaining Wealth-Misuse of Money/Wealth

  10. BONDAGE OF DEBT Dr. DeForest Soaries in his book dFree: Breaking Free from Financial Slavery states: Consumer debt enslaves millions of people in our country with debilitating chains that only seem to grow tighter each month… We’ve shackled ourselves with fear, stress, and shame spending far more than we’re taking in or saving…

  11. BONDAGE OF DEBT Continued: …men and women are ambushed by their own poor choices, impulse purchases…attempting to keep up with mirage-like cultural standard of consumer consumption… the time has come to emancipate ourselves.
