Bugs and Patches • R-GMA patches • #1388 ( gLite 3.1 UI dependency fix) • #1423 ( gLite 3.1 UI/WN/CE RGMA dependency) • #1426 (rejected (A. Duncan)), SL3, gLite 3.0 • Passed basic tests, but • Some issues with testsuite and RGMA v4 compatibility • #1537 (Sl4, gLite 3.1 release candidate) • MyProxy • #1420 (SL4 migration + dependency challenge outcome) • YAIM • Task #5524 • ETICS/Porting • See Eamonn’s talk • Many submitted bugs now closed
Testing and Certification Testbed • Testbed • R-GMA site MON and Registry • WMS (gLite 3.0) • Will upgrade to 3.1 • Top-Level BDII (SL 3) • Porting site included • MyProxy (SL 4.5) • LCG CE (SL 3/gLite 3.0) • Various Worker nodes (SL 4/gLite 3.1, SL 3,gLite 3.0) • Testbed CA (for private IP address in TCD testbed) • Porting Site CE • One queue per port • Ported WN machines
To Do (Testbed) • R-GMA to be certified for SL4 (patch • LFC • Migrate SE to DPM • Some TB host certs expire soon • Were issued from Grid-Ireland CA • (re)new(ed) host certs will be issued by the TestBed CA
Extending the testbed • New hardware purchased for production site(s) • 96 Dual quad core nodes will replace WN farm at TCD • delivery yesterday, installation today, … • Some older equipment will be available for reuse in testbed • Some older hardware has failed • Problem with air con heat redistribution • Server room being fixed
Issues • Storage • Each Xen machine onto 5-8 Gig image • Images backed up before applying new patch • for each service node • Storage requirements add up quickly • Move from APT to YUM (gLite 3.1) • wasn’t clear on which repository to use for certification • Several e-mails sent between myself and others before this was settled • ETICS • Changes to ETICS client/server software untested before deployment. • Standalone SAMS • Publishing of results from (relatively) isolated testbed.
