APACHE KYLIN - Hybrid OLAP (HOLAP) Solution

EBay Inc. an American multinational corporation for online Stuff has designed an open source distribution analytics engine, Apache Kylin. It provides SQL Interface with multi-dimensional analytics (OLAP) on Hadoop, supporting extremely large datasets. Kylin’s pre-built MOLAP cubes, distributed architecture, and high concurrency helps users analyze multidimensional queries using Kylin’s SQL interface as well as via other BI tools like Tableau and Micro Strategy.

It provides SQL Interface with multi-dimensional analytics (OLAP) on Hadoop, supporting extremely large datasets. Kylin’s pre-built MOLAP cubes, distributed architecture, and high concurrency helps users analyze multidimensional queries using Kylin’s SQL interface as well as via other BI tools like Tableau and Micro Strategy.

  3. Kylin is extremely fast OLAP Engine and can reduce query latency on Hadoop for 10+ billions of rows of data. Users can interact with Hadoop Data Thought Kylin at sub-second latency, they can also define data model and pre-build in kylin with more than billions of raw data records. It offers and Support ANSI SQL on Hadoop for most query functions, making it highly interactive and friendly.
