  2. NPRR 379 citation & XML implementation • Energy Emergency Alert Level 2 • Section 6.5.9.4.2 (2)(iii): • ERCOT shall deploy EILS via a XML message followed by a single VDI to the all-QSE Hotline. The VDI shall represent the official start of the ten-minute EILS ramp period. • Section 6.5.9.4.2 (2)(iii)(E): • ERCOT shall notify QSEs of the release of EILS via a XML message followed by VDI to the all-QSE Hotline. The VDI shall represent the official notice of EILS release. • This language is currently gray-boxed pending ERCOT internal development via capital project • Project is relatively low cost (less than $65K, internal ERCOT) and is expected to be approved for 2012 funding • Work could begin as early as 4Q11 EILS Subgroup

XML impacts to EILS QSEs • XML notification of EILS dispatch will mimic XML notification of Load Resource dispatch • EILS QSEs that also represent LRs will already be XML-capable • EILS-only QSEs will need to implement an XML Notification Listener with an associated URL • Details are not yet worked out • ERCOT will keep QSEs posted as the solution is worked out • All QSEs will be tested prior to go-live EILS Subgroup
