Columbus sailed to the Bahamas, to the island San Salvador. He took it in the name of the Spanish Queen. This event opened the way for many explorers and settlers from Europe. The Aborigines Columbus met were naked and decorated with gold jewellery. They told Columbus where gold is. Columbus continued his way to Cuba and Haiti. Then he sailed back to give information Spanish Queen about his expedition. He received titles and honors. Columbus and the other explorers were very brave men.
