Things That Make You Go “A Ha!”#1 What is wrong with this SAP policy statement? “Students enrolled less than full-time must complete at least 50% of the credits attempted to be considered to be making satisfactory academic progress.”
Things That Make You Go “A Ha!”#2 Did you know that: • Students are not making SAP at the point it becomes “mathematically” impossible for them to complete within 150% of the maximum time frame defined for their program. • Example: Students in a 120 credit program can attempt 180 credits. A student who has attempted 170 credits and has earned 108 can not mathematically completed the remaining 12 credits within the 180 credit limit. • This is appealable.

Things That Make You Go “A Ha!”#8 • Does this credit balance have to be given to the student within 14 days?
Things That Make You Go “A Ha!”#9 During the student’s first undergraduate year they received additional unsub based on a PLUS denial. Thereafter the parent qualified for the PLUS. What is the student’s remaining eligibility for a Direct Loan?
