  1. The Creation of Computer Games Presentation Presented by Daryl James &

  2. Homefront BANNED Until it was Redeveloped! But Why, I hear you ask!

  3. The Game offended North and South Korea, it shows the death of their leader Kim Jong-un who incidentally died a few months after the game release. The game shows Korea united by Kim Jong-il(Kim Jong-un’ son). It presents Korea as a world dominating force, which eventually attacks America. Korea’s biggest industry is Nuclear weapons. So this could be a possible future.

  4. Korea completely banned Homefront because they found it offensive and disturbing. The game picks up two years after North Korea invades and occupies Honolulu and then establishes a stronghold in San Francisco and takes over key military bases throughout the Western United States.

  5. Homefront is a first-person shooter video game developed by the now defunct Kaos Studios and published by THQ. The game has been given an 18 rating. The Ban in the UK couldn’t be kept because of the sheer number of pre-orders; if the game was banned, the company would have faced possible debts.

  6. And it had to be Redeveloped! Also BANNED

  7. The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) first banned the game in June, saying it demonstrated a "casual sadism" and "constantly encourages visceral killing". So changes had to be made! But David Cooke, director of the BBFC, said: "We recognise that the distributor has made changes to the game, but we do not consider that these go far enough to address our concerns about the original version”.

  8. The original Manhunt game, released in 2003, received an 18 certificate. It caused huge controversy and was blamed for the murder of a 14-year-old schoolboy. Stefan Pakeerah was stabbed and beaten to death in Leicester in February 2004.His parents believe the killer, Warren LeBlanc, 17, was inspired by the game. Police and lawyers involved in the trial said there was no evidence that Manhunt had played a part in the murder. Stefan's mother, Giselle Pakeerah, condemned the sequel as "morally irresponsible".

  9. Patrick Pakeerah fears LeBlanc was inspired by the game Manhunt - but no link was proven in court. Manhunt's maker Rockstar North said at the time its games were geared towards mature audiences and that it marketed its games responsibly.

  10. Man Hunt on the wii console had people using the controller as an axe and chopping people in the game up. It made so the player would feel like their the one who is actually there in the game. The UK Banned this game because of it the vile behaviour that the game encouraged.

  11. To improve Manhunt the developers had to reduce some graphical content. Obviously the game is going to still be violent even though the violence has been reduced. Reviews of the game said “ I may be wrong saying this, but on a scale from one to ten, I'd give this situation a 9 pointer for putridness.”
