Sample True/False Question • Pi can be correctly written as a fraction. • True • False
Real-Time Formative Assessment • Short Answer • Gather open-ended responses to any question you ask. • Instantly project the student responses and then let students vote on the content.

Quiz- Based Activities • Created or uploaded in advance • Quiz • Space Race • Exit Ticket

Create/Edit a Quiz • Give your quiz a title so you can find it. • Students won’t see this. • Enable sharing. • You can share the quiz by giving other teachers the ‘SOC Number’ • My first Georgia quiz = SOC-3409862 • My second Georgia quiz = SOC-3409873 • Add a multiple choice question • Enter the question and answer choices • Click on the checkbox to select correct answers – you can choose more than one. • If no correct answers are chosen, the student is thanked for their response after answering. • Add a short answer question. • You can reorder or delete the questions using the controls on the upper-right part of the question. • Click ‘Save’ when you are done with your quiz. • You can come back and edit the quiz at any time.
Exit Ticket • Check in on your students’ understanding as they head out the door. • Gather responses on their comfort with the material as well as answers to questions you create in real-time or prepare before class.
Conclusion • Thank you for your attentiveness and participation! • I am creating a web-based resource to support the inclusion of Socrative in your teaching environment. • Please complete the Exit Ticket on the way out of the door!
