  3. Answers • 1.3 billion people in the U.S. are infected with hookworms. • Puppies and kids are most at risk for getting hookworms. • Many people get hookworms by walking on soil with bare feet that is contaminated with hookworms.

  4. Answers • Hookworms are commonly found all over the world but are mostly found in areas with warm humid climates. • Hookworms live in intestines, suck blood, and cause serious diseases.

  5. Hookworms • If pregnant women are infected by hookworms then the baby will most likely be born prematurely. • To prevent getting hookworms wear shoes ALL the time and if you have hookworms eat garlic. Garlic is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial and will help you get rid of hookworms.
