Section 504: Discipline, Manifestation Determination Review, & Due Process Procedures • Jose Martín, Attorney at Law • This session will cover the basic §504 rules of discipline for eligible students, and review the triggers for §504 MDRs, the modern MDR standard, MDR procedures, data requirements, completing MDR forms, responding to and considering parental input, the commonly raised impulsivity issue, and other MDR issues. In addition, the session will propose some factual scenarios for attendees to try their hand at articulating answers to some fictitious MDR situations.
