Course Objectives • To introduce you to a process-based approach to developing software • To show you how to measure and analyze your personal software process (PSP) • To show you how to launch and execute your team software process (TSP) • To show you how to use process data to improve your personal & Team performance • To show you how to apply these methods to your other tasks
Course Overview • Introduction - 2 lecture • Time management - 4 lectures • Defect management - 4 lectures • Size estimation - 4 lectures • Team design & launch - 4 lectures • Team roles & tasks - 4 lectures • Further reading & report - 2 lectures
Course Evaluation: • Assignment & report --- 30% • All assignments must be submitted before 5th April, 2008. • the only extensions will be for medical/personal reasons and must be accompanied by a medical certificate (or equivalent) • Plagiarism will be severely punished • and you may choose to work in groups (2-3 students in a group) for the experiments and reporting your further reading • Presence will be consider for the marks given!
Course Evaluation: • Exam (April 2007) --- 70% • 2 hours • English writing is better • People who is absent from lecture for three times will not be permitted to seat in the final exam.
