What should I do? • Inspect your affected aircraft and/or stock for the referenced part • If found contact entities in the FURTHER INFORMATION section, and your local FSDO
Why do I need Approved Parts? • FAR43.13(b) states ...maintenance must be performed such that the product is at least equal to its original or properly altered condition.
How does FAR 43.13 pertain to replacement parts? • When installing replacement parts, the installer must have a reasonable basis to determine the replacement part will render the aircraft airworthy. • That is, it is at least equal to its original condition after parts replacement..
HOW CAN I DETERMINE A REPLACEMENT PART WILL RENDER AN AIRCRAFT AIRWORTHY ?
