Get to know our Industrial Community Neighbors as it relates to Responsible Care implementation – Build on our Strengths Identify common needs and concerns with Responsible Care implementation Share Best Practice solutions and lessons learned from implementation WORKING GREEN
Participants Representatives from all companies in Saudi Arabia that have signed the GPCA declaration of commitment to implement Responsible Care participated in this event Sabic, several Sabic Affiliates, Tasnee, Advanced Petrochemical, Al-Farabi, S-Chem, Sahara, Nama and SIPCHEM participated in this Forum Each company shared the status of their GPCA Responsible Care self assessment and areas of concern All committed to encourage involvement of other regional Chemical Companies in this very important initiative for the Chemical Industry. Survey Objectives Raise awareness about Codes of Management Practices Gain a better understanding about objectives of the codes and each practice Gain an understanding of what is important and what is less important for Saudi Arabia from company representative leaders in EHS&S Align on practices for Regional Implementation. Survey Conclusion 42% of 119 Management Practices need clarification by at least one company Areas identified with most clarification needs CAER Code Product Distribution Code Security Code Some Management Practices ranked low 78% of the low ratings are linked to Management Practices with “Unclear Practice” comments WORKING GREEN

General Conclusion From Workshop Activities Security,CAER,Product Distribution and Product Stewardship Audit Checklist for all codes are needed Need to consider involving the Government in audits of “Security” Adequate funding is needed to close gaps KPI for progress and achievements are important More Clarity on some requirements like cyber security needed Engagement and awareness at schools and with community is important A Web page for relevant information exchange Exchange of information and support from all participants Key Conclusions: All 119 Code Practices are important to the region Continuous Dialogue through a Working Committee in Saudi Arabia is needed WORKING GREEN
