Good set up is key on clears. You must practice clears in order to get the assignments down. Midfielders must get open and look back at goalie. Clears

Work the ball around one or two times to engage the defense and determine holes (‘jumpy’ defenders, slow reaction, etc). • Determine a signal for the motion offense (i.e. player taps their helmet. A simply visual sign works better then verbal, as it can be misunderstood with a mouth-piece. If verbal, make it distinct, short and easy to understand.
