  3. What is binge drinking? • Heavy and consistent drinking • Five or more drinks in a row in a certain amount of time

  4. Why do people binge drink? • They are curious • They are trying to impress friends • They make look at it as a way to reduce stress

  5. What are the risks of binge drinking? • Alcohol poisoning • Memory lapses • Mood changes • death

  6. The risk of binge drinking an getting alcohol poisoning • Extreme confusion • Inability to be awakened • Vomiting and seizures • Slow breathing • Death

  7. Mental health • Binge drinkers have a harder time in schools • It disrupts sleep patterns • Effects some people personality

  8. Binge drinking • Approximately 92% of U.S. adults have reported they have binge drank • About 75% of the alcohol consumed each year is in the form of binge drinking

  13. College kids and binge drinking • They take it to an extreme • They do it to try and fit in • They think its cool and funny
