National strategy on energy efficiency 2010 • Residential sector – cumulative savings of 50.7ktoe • Commercial and Public Building sector – cumulative savings of 31.92ktoe • Industry sector – cumulative savings of 92.09ktoe • Transport sector – cumulative savings of 60.51ktoe • The implementation of the NSEE will cost the society cca. 380 million Euros
Capacity of the municipal authorities • 17 Municipalities out of 85 have developed programmes for energy efficiency • 20 Municipalities are closely following the energy consumption • in-depth survey (34 municipalities, covering 1,162,794 inhabitants ) on budget allocation on energy conservation • 5.29 Million Euros in 2009 • 7.34 Million Euros in 2010

System for energy monitoring Enables – www.eeopstini.mk • Continuous updating database of climatologically data for calculating the energy performance in Macedonia • Continuous entry and monitoring of consumption data for all types of energy in buildings; • Continuous entry and monitoring of expenses for energy in buildings; • Calculation of greenhouse gases • Monitoring of energy consumption and energy expenses for individual building and groups of buildings; • Report creation according to user preferences or according to preset templates.
System for energy monitoring Conclusions – www.eeopstini.mk • Municipalities’ obligations under the Law on Energy i.e.: • Preparation of 3-year municipal programmes for energy efficiency (baseline calculations); • Preparation of annual analysis on energy consumption; • Organizing a system for monitoring on energy consumption; • Important link between the central government and local authorities • Similar approach in involvement of all stakeholders can be used for the other key areas of the National Strategy for Energy Efficiency
