Services • Local control in Colorado: • Buildings decide when and what services they provide • District provides guidelines and resources • GT Staffing based on the number of identified students in a building • Elementary range from 33% to 100% • Middle School range from 50% to 100% • High Schools receive 50% • 93% of students in TSD are identified in Reading and/or Math

Services by Level • Elementary: • Generally pull-out in reading and/or math • Middle School: • Staff work with classroom teachers on differentiation • Provide resources and training to school staff • Meet with groups of students to work on affective needs • High School: • Counselors help students with college and career planning, and affective needs • Advanced and honors classes

Advanced Learning Plans • Elementary students have one-year plans • Parents and students collaborate with teachers to create goals • Middle school students have three-year plans • Plans are revised and updated annually • Students help write goals with parent input • High school students have four-year plans • Plans are revised and updated annually • Students are expected to write their own goals based on their college and career plans

Program Evaluation • CDE requires all GT programs in the state to perform an evaluation of their services at least every four years • TSD has a Gifted and Talented Advisory Council whose role is to help us perform this task • Meet once a month • Parents, Teachers, Administrators, and Community Members • This year will be focused on middle school programming
