  3. Romantic Love • Signs • Holding hands • Staring into each other’s eyes • Tuning out the rest of the world • Want to spend all their time together • Infatuation • Strong feeling of attraction • Can be one sided • Some relationships are based on infatuation and move ahead too quickly

Mature Love • Signs • Giving • Unselfish attitude • You care about the wellbeing of each other • Like to do things for each other • Mature love grows as a relationship grows • 4 steps stages to mature love 1. rapport – get to know each other 2. personal sharing – develop trust 3. attachment – dependency 4. satisfaction – needs are being met

  7. Cycle continues; sharing gets deeper and sharing increases • More attachment • As needs are met interaction is encouraged • As mature love grows, commitment to happiness increases

  10. Sex and the Media • Does sex sell? • Think about your favorite movie, is there a sex scene? • Is it unrealistic? • What does the media make sex appear to be?
