Let’s review….. • Teaching expectations • Character • Bus wait • Hallway • Cafeteria • Gym assemblies • Restroom • Playground **Remember: All of these lessons and videos are on the PD page and there are more here http://vimeo.com/groups/pbisvideos • Rewards system • Individual classroom systems • Cattitudes • Pawsitive referrals • End of year celebration
Consequences….. Flow Chart matrix
Moving pbis into the classroom Take the time to: • Teach Expectations in the classroom • Teach Procedures in the classroom • Use a consistent Behavior management system -clips seem to work well and have been used by many(Tiffany's form) Remember: Teaching expectations now, will pay off in the long run! Don’t expect it, until you teach it!
Lets make new goals! • New goals must follow the critical elements of Pbis: 1. Pbis team established 2. Faculty commitment 3. Efective procedures for dealing with discipline 4. Data entry and analysis plan established 5. Expectations and rules developed 6. Reward/recognition program established 7. Lesson plans for teaching expectations 8. Implementation plan 9. Classroom systems 10. Evaluation
Misc. and what’s new… • Swis: We must have fidelity between referrals and Swis data… cannot mark ‘other’ on referralswe have new ways of running swis data- more to come! • Karen’s pass program • Jodi’s program • Bus drivers are now giving cattitudes!! • Cafeteria: teacher expectations- arrival/departure times, supervision of students in line, Bobcat bucks/popsicles as rewards
