Question 1 – Application Management - Some Key points • The Application Lifecycle should be recognised as a separate lifecycle • The Application lifecycle must be aligned with the Service Lifecycle • Applications are a component of the end-to-end service • The resources and skills required to manage and develop applications through the lifecycle must be planned and managed • Application Management is different from Application Development. • Application Development; mainly involved in the requirements, design and build of applications • Application Management; covers the need to manage applications through the lifecycle and consider aspects such as; • Development strategies, policies and standards • Reusable code and modules • Application portfolio
