ECOM ebXML Interoperability Test group • Established under the XML/EDI Standardization WG in July 2002 * ECOM: Electronic Commerce Promotion Council of Japan • Objectives: In order to promote ebXML in Japan and Asia, this group: • Conducts Cross-vendor interoperability test among ebXML products in Japan • Provides a guideline for the interoperability test • Provides Feedback our experiment to OASIS ebXML IIC TC • Proposes the ebXML interoperability test in ebXML ASIA meeting • Members: Fujitsu(Chair), BEA, Chori Joho System, Data Application, Global Wise, Hitachi, Infoteria, JETS, NEC, NTT, NTT Data, Oracle, Sybase, Nihon Unisys
ECOM ebXML Interoperability Test group • Scope • First Phase: ebXML MS 2.0, ebXMLCPP/CPA 2.0 • ebXML Message Packaging • Security Service • Digital Signature • Reliable Message • Message Order • Second Phase ~ : BPSS, Registry
ebXML Message Service • Extend SOAP specification • Major Features: • Reliability • Guaranteeing message delivery “once and only one” • Guaranteeing message order • Security

Accomplishment • Released the guideline to verify interoperability among ebXML products from several vendors “ebXML Interoperability Test Specification, Part I: ebXML Message Service Version 2.0” • Completed successfully the first round of ebXML interoperability tests
ebXML Interoperability Test Specification Part I: ebXML Message Service Version 2.0 • Based on • ebXML Message Service Specification Version 2.0 (Required) • ebXML Collaboration-Protocol Profile and Agreement Specification Version 2.0 • Specifies the following items: • Test procedures and process • Test models • Test item list • CPA template (as an appendix) • CPA guideline (as an appendix) • Message guideline (as an appendix)
ebXML Interoperability Test • The first round test based on the “ebXML Interoperability Test Common Specification” started in July and completed in September • Participating members: • Fujitsu • Hitachi • NEC • Infoteria • NTT • Test items: • T1: Receive/Send basic messages with BestEffort mode • T5: Guarantee of delivery
The Next Step ! • The second round test will be have more vendors participating • We wish to collaborate the ebXML interoperability test with Asian Countries
ebXML Asia Committee TCA & III ECOM KIEC Goal To promote ebXML implementation for facilitating e-business in Asian Region, in order to enable a global electronic marketplace where enterprises of any size and in any geographical location can meet and conduct business with each other through the exchange of XML based message Hong Kong, Pakistan, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia have joined us !
