2.10.2 Discuss transportation systems used in the area • To get to the north country (Canada): Air taxis, helicopters, seaplanes, jet routes, trains and cruise ships, ferries, and busesare commonly used. • To get to Alaska: Buses, vans, cars, taxi cabs, motor coach, shuttles, and sometimes limos and limousines, boats, and planes are commonly used.
2.10.3 List important geographic likenesses of the area • In Anchorage, Alaska, there are Rocky Mountaineer Rail tours. • The Gulf Coast is near the area. • The view is amazing.
2.10.4 Research and discuss weather patterns of the area • The temperature in Alaska ranges from 50-70 degrees year long. The precipitation that Alaska usually gets ranges from 1 inch to 14 inches. • In both Alaska and Canada, winters are snowy and freezing, especially in the interior. They both have a good precipitation level.
2.10.5 List reasons why travelers will or will not visit the area • To go: An inside passage cruise, a glacier bay, a Mendenhall Glacier, And Anchorage, Alaskan railroads, Fairbanks, Nome (A gold-rush center), Canadian Rockies, The view, the northern lights, • Not to go: Weather conditions, and unemployment. Besides… Canadian bacon.. Is ham!
